EAA Chapter 84
Doug Medema
The aircraft is a Van's RV-6A started in 1991 with first flight on November 8, 2003. The engine is 160hp Lycoming O-320 with a Sensenich fixed pitch metal prop. It is equipped for day/night VFR. The plane is used at times as a test bed for Dynon Avionics so the avionics tend to change. Right now it has a FlightDEK 180, the Dynon autopilot, a Garmin GTX327 transponder, an ICOM A200 COM radio, and a PS Engineering PCD-7100 Intercom/CD player. The interior is from Flightline Interiors. The plane is hangared at Arlington (C8 in the city hangars) and used mainly for local flights. However, I have made a trip to Billings, MT and back in one day and it is a very comfortable cross country machine.
